Honch, how do you get the 1 piece look for that top piece? Is there a seam somewhere that's just hard to see? Great looking cases!

I've acetone smoothed other parts, it worked okay for me in the past. On this part I'm not sure my full plan yet. I wish I had a big enough print bed to print it 1 piece. I may prime, sand, and paint the piece for finishing, if I can get the font lettering sized right and printing well. I...

Designed up a hood vent mount for a Kobe hood vent insert. I liked the performance of the insert vs buying one that had a stainless exterior. Project kind of spiraled into way more work than I expected. But I'm happy with how it turned out. Just way more work then I meant to sign up for...

Printed a trial piece for a radio surround for my old truck. Going to add HVAC controls along the bottom as well. Might tweak the design a bit more, but I'm glad it fits so far!

80 degrees seems high for a bed temp. A cold shop or a draft can effect the print. As does fan settings. I turn off the fan for the first 5-6 layers, then have it on like 40%. I also print in my garage and I got one of the cheap creality zip up enclosures. With a glass bed you shouldn't...

Of your list Bessy, I also vote for the Creality CR-10. For easier setup, at added cost, consider getting it through someone like Tiny Machines. Not sure if there is a Canadian company that does similar, but Tiny Machines installs upgrades, their firmware, and test the machine prior to...

I use Solidworks at work, so I generally bring it home and use it. Fusion 360 is pretty good, and way more affordable.

Also quite happy with my Ender 3. Ran great till my plastic extruder tensioner arm broke (which is common with the original ender 3), but now that I replaced it with a metal one, its been printing awesome. I also ended up upgrading to BLtouch. Leveling the bed really isn't that bad, but it...

I got a used Dell M6800 workstation laptop. I had used one for work in the past, and they're upgradeable easily, and not too expensive because they sell ones coming off corporate leases. I don't know if Fusion 360 is the same, but with Solidworks, they have approved graphics cards that work...

If she bumps the volume of printing high enough, maybe you can justify another printer!

Finally figured out why I was struggling with some underextrusion issues suddenly on my Ender 3. Went from printing great to suddenly horrible. Chased all kinds of stuff before I noticed the cracked arm on the tensioner for the extruder. Time to upgrade to metal.

Cool project! I noticed in your signature that you mention an F1 with Lexus IFS. Do you have a project thread for that?

Thanks for the link! I'll download those and check it out. Definitely want to customize some more mounts for my wall control.

Those are awesome, I think my wall control needs a couple of those. Would you be willing to share the files?
