    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Rohm made new chucks specifically because there's enough demand for the 2703/2704 to warrant it, they sent me one to check out and I just popped it on today. No issues at all. It's slightly shorter, all black, and has a cap at the end that spins freely so you don't mar your workpiece. I would...

I've got a 2704, it's a great unit. I've pushed it enough to make it too hot to want to use bare handed. It keeps ticking. Recently got a new Rohm chuck for it, but haven't put it on yet. The chuck is the only average part of those drills in my opinion (and I've certainly used worse).

The current (gen2) M18 Fuel drills are only a year or two old. Probably at least another 2 before they're updated. Longer if Makita and Dewalt drag their feet. No mention of updated M12 Fuel screwdriver or impact wrenches. In automotive, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC; yes. Framing, finishing...

PackOut really does look like the perfect blend of ToughSystem and Systainer, really hoping it isn't priced like it's made of gold lol. The compact mitre went back to basics for a more accurate rail system and no extended dust chute; extraction should be far superior to the 10".

Charges sequentially. Supposedly 21700 cell batteries are in development (1mm bigger than other brands 20700 cells) so I imagine large cells in X2 configuration is their plan to catch Makita X2 and FlexVolt. Next year will likely be a bonanza of high draw tools. 45, 55 and 70 ft lbs for the...

    Wobble in Milwaukee fuel chuck

The chucks on the Fuel drills are trash. Rohm sent me their new replacement chuck for my 2704, seems much nicer but I haven't had time to swap it yet. Hopefully this weekend.

    Which Knipex Grip Style?

I prefer the comfort grip, so I buy that whenever it's an option. It's durable, slightly nicer feel in my experience, and cleans up easily. That said, you can usually buy more pliers if you go with dipped instead of multi material. I just wait for good sales but if you need them right away...

Who makes accurate circular saw blades?

Home Depot has them here in Canada, imagine the same is true down south. The SKU is 48-20-8857. It was $26 CAD/ $20 USD

I bought a 7 (?) piece hammer drill bit set of the red variety specifically because it was made in Germany for a steal of a price compared to the Bosch kit that's made in China and costs more.

I had to warranty one of my 3 hoodies. They kept it for a week, determined it was defective, and gave me a new hoodie. They told me they don't fix them because it's not worth the time.

This has been around for quite some time now but hasn't garnered much attention because it's a)significantly more $ than 5.0 and b)18650 cells. You're better off getting 5.0 for cheap or 9.0 for less thermal protection mode.

Brushless vs brush motors in drills

I'm saying for specific trades Milwaukee is the clear winner. I recommend trying to stick to one line for the most part. Buy into the one that checks the most boxes for tools you want to own. The Makita 148, 154 and 170 are both monster impact drivers.

Brushless vs brush motors in drills

The Surge still has a brushless motor. It's the hammer/anvil design that's different. Anyway, for a serious DIY guy or professional you can't go wrong with any of the major brands offerings. I'm in several systems; Milwaukee M12, M18, Dewalt 20v Max and FlexVolt, and they all have their pros and...
