Thanks for all the replies. I high lifted my last houses garage door without moving torsion bar. However it had the Wayne Dalton design torsion bar. Im guessing I didn’t need as much room to clear torsion bar since it didn’t have drums. Had to manually lift door and it was only a single door...

Everyone that high lifts their garage door raises the torsion bar. Would like to understand why??? Understand you need to tip or slant door to clear pulleys or door could hit them. But other than that why move torsion bar up? Help me understand…. Thanks
