They show 1,690 uniform at a 24" span which seems very high. I'm assuming that 300 lbs dynamic should be doable. Where did you see the 100 lb spec? I'd like to learn more there.
I had a 24 x 36' garage built with 50% attic trusses and 50% Cathedral trusses, with a 4' span in the center to aid access. It was originally specified for the truss system to be capable of lifting a 300 lb dynamic load on a hoist, in the center. Time has passed, I now have no records and age...
I understand all of this, but I'm still unsure about one thing. The current sub panel has a two conductor plus ground coming in. The two hot leads from the 100 amp breaker, and the ground is from the neutral/ground buss from the main panel. Will the new "ground only" buss on the sub panel...
Any suggestions as to the best way to separate the neutrals and grounds on the existing sub? should I just add a wire from the main panel buss (with both neutral & grounds connected) and bring it ti the sub on a new buss touching the chassis, or just add a buss touching the sub panel leaving...

2) Do I need a separate neutral and ground from the main panel to the sub panel? Based on the picture supplied by another member, it shows three, plus ground.

I did the pressure, inspected the philips head assy, new bearing in the release, and these two we last, and where the confusion began. I also replaced the ball bearing in the main cylinder. I wish I just did the u cup and orings.....:eyecrazy:
There are two to the right. 1st to the right has two ball bearings (smaller in first, larger one second), second to the right has one ball bearing, a nose piece and a spring
The release, meaning the twist to release/drop the jack? The one to it's right had one tiny ball bearing with a nose piece under a spring, held by one of the screws
Oh well, I did something wrong..... The jack will lift and drop as I move the handle..... ugh... I love fixing things, but sometimes you just have to flush the toilet, and give up.
