Catastrope! ...And Complete Evac & charge procedure Q's for Mini-Split

You cracked the flare over tightening. The right charge is important but you can be a little off. If you are not going to weigh the charge in and add for the extra length in line I like to set it by indoor coil temp. I do HVAC and the proper way is to weigh the charge in but if I do not do that...

Changing garage door track to follow pitch

When I built my garage addition 8 years ago I did not follow the pitch of the roof and I am sorry I did not because I always have to have the door down when I have a car on the lift. How much do you think it would be to have someone come in and change the track to follow the inside pitch? Just...

    Heater duct sagging from joists

Pull the nails and screw it tight. If you look the hanger sticks up a little further than the duct. So if you screw the hanger tight to the joist you will still have a little gap between the duct itself and the joist. Nails are how they did it years ago. You can also tell it's old duct work by...

    Painting concrete

It was not hard work but it was very time consuming. The garage addition was a pain because I had to scrub (with the deck brush) 4 times to de-grease it after 8 years of all the oil, trans fluid, etc that has been on it. I scrubbed it as many times as it took to get it from beading when water...

    Painting concrete

If it does seep it will dry. If you look at my smaller garage picture you can see a large crack in it inside the door, No issues with power washing it. See the pictures of my basement? I power washed the floor. It completely dried in a day. For loose paint I have one of those round power wash...

    Painting concrete

Hey Shea, Question. I have my newer garage ready to re-coat the floor (power washed, de-greased, sanded with 150, mopped, and primed) After I get it painted should I put a gloss sealer on it? Or just leave it painted with no sealer like I have it now? Just looking at better protection, and ease...

    Painting concrete

Here’s some pictures. The bright stuff on the floor is just a reflection of something in the sun. I am glad the last coat only took a gallon because it was from a different batch number and it was lighter than the original gallon I put down on the first coat.
