    Broke Drill Press Base

OP here, I thought I would share my solution to my broken base. I was able to get a rotor off an old school bus. The bus garage gave it to me for free. My intention was to weld some metal to it and drill out the holes. My neighbor came up with the idea to just sandwich the two pieces between...

Should I add a floor drain?

I ended up not putting in the floor drain. I got sick and was in the hospital for 4 days so I did not have a chance to pick up the drain and pipe before my nephew got there. I have never had a floor drain in any of my shops so I can't miss what I never had. Thanks for all the replies.

Should I add a floor drain?

I will be working on cars in the shed, however the main use will be a wood shop. I am leaning on installing the drain, the question is now how long of drain should I put in?

Should I add a floor drain?

I will be finally be adding concrete to my 36 X 26 shed in about three weeks. I will eventually heat the shed and since I live in northern MN there will be snow melting off the vehicles. My question is the benefit of a floor drain worth the hassle of the grate, (creeper wheels getting stuck)...

    Do circuit breakers go bad?

Re: Do circuits breaker go bad? Yep, have a metal chop saw that would not work on a Homeline panel, 20 amp circuit. I changed the breaker and still the same problem, had to add a 30 amp circuit. Moved and had a Siemens panel 20 amp circuit and had no problem with tripping the breaker.

    Ugly's electrical reference 2017

Does anyone know if the errors in Ugly's have been corrected? It looks like they had a second printing but they are still listing some errors. Have they had a third printing? How would I know which version I would be getting? I would like to purchase this reference book especially since my...

Time to upgrade my central ac unit.

Let me start by saying I am not a HVAC tech. I did go to night school for two years and got a certificate of completion a number of years ago. Some of the real techs may differ with my answer and I am OK with that. This is what i recall, 1. Use nitrogen when brazing the lines as this prevents...

    Broke Drill Press Base

It was made in Taiwan, I purchased it new in the early 90s. It is a floor mount. I need to update my location. I moved to Sturgeon Lake MN which is about an hour south of Duluth and a hour and a half from the twin cities. We moved so we could be closer to the kids/grand-kids. One lives in...

    Broke Drill Press Base

I moved about 4 months ago, just got the last load out of the storage locker at old location. I had my 15" craftsman drill press in the back of the U-haul. I hit a bump and heard something in the back of the truck. I thought that can't be good. Turns out the base on my drill press broke. I did...

    Advice on a heater

I have a similar heater; 250,000 btu. I should sell it as I will not use it, currently have a propane heater in garage. My oil heater used almost a gallon of fuel an hour, so not very efficient and hard to breath.

Here is a picture of the heater from craigs list. Many times these postings get removed before someone reads the thread and was wondering what the item looked like. Happy new year to everyone.

    Home Automation

Is the controller the only thing that is required to make the system work? You then add sensors etc. as you expand your system? I do have a router, do you need to keep your computer on all the time? If so, I have an old desktop running XP will that work? How is the video quality of the...

    Home Automation

I broke the hinges on my computer after posting this; took a couple of weeks to get it back at $180 to get fixed maybe should just have replaced it. I live just south of Bagley on 40 acres. Lived most of my life in Blaine, MN. Getting off topic. I checked out the homeseer website...
