This, plus this:
"I've been friends with Rob (who founded Singer) since shortly after he came to Los Angeles back in 2003. I'd already had my 911 with a swapped 3.6 for four years, then. He built his (narrow-body 3.0-liter) prototype a year later, and that's the same time my car was getting...
I thought about your car recently in the light of several articles about the Singer Porsche Re-imagined cars. I think your car was ahead of the curve - bits taken from different eras to produce the car that you enjoy and now - it seems - so do many other people. I know it does not have the...
You could have warned everyone about the close-up at 57 secs. But I liked the slight I'm-really-determined squint you pulled off.
Great video, and great driving
You have done a great job on these benches - a bit too nice to use to be honest. From your pictures it appears you used wood flooring for the surface, which is unusual and has given a fantastic finish.
What size wood did you use for the legs? Again an interesting idea to double up the wood to...
Wow, great write up even though you are obviously constrained by what you can say at this point. The car is fabulous.
Are you going to be in Europe for the whole period of the build up to the race? If so, how is Mrs O. taking all this?
Bearing in mind that Porsche is officially the world's most profitable car manufacturer (the profit the company makes on each car sold is ridiculous), you advice may be taken with an appropriate pinch of salt.
"I arrived in Munich in late August with my passport that was due to expire in...
Fabulous looking house. Try adding a length of rope near the slide: when my children were small the rope became a harness for climbing up the slide, a toy safety device, the support for a canvas extension and so on. As usual it is the cheap things that get used the most.
As above - MDF is easy to cut and shape, but blows very quickly if damp or wet. Go for ply.
I will be interested to see how you do it as I am thinking of doing the same to one wall my garage.
Hi. I follow this build regularly and it's looking great. What happened to the old garage? Last time I looked you had two, now the old one is part of your house.
Oh, and finish the driveway and the whole house looks stunning - great job.
'I wasn't sure if people would be curious about this type of project since there are many larger and more impressive workshops and garages being built.'
For me, this is why your build is so interesting. Building a garage or workshop with almost infinite space and budget is not hard, but your...
Wow, great work. It is always a pleasure to see a more modest build compared to some of the Palace Garages on this site (not that I do not enjoy those too). What you have achieved so far is impressive - even more so that it is mainly you with occasional help from your neighbour.
Keep going.
