Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Just grabbed this old WT 900 for $225. Not a steal but my chinese Wen DP isn't cutting it for a current project. Are most having the best luck with rustoleum spray paint or is there a brush on paint that is better? Also, in the past the depth stop knobs were replaced with regular nuts. Does...

    The BF/MFT Workbench Build - Part 2

Do you have the file for the foot template? I tried printing one out from FOG and the scaling wasn't correct. Thanks!

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Suburban Working Garage in VA...now building the Highland House in the Teton Valley

I know it may sound excessive but have you considering putting some sort of prox switch with a red/green light to show the status/height of the lift so you don't rip the roof off either car. I would do something to ensure the lift is never dropped down 2-3 inches on accident whether it's depower...

What is Fair Price for this Toolbox?

Hmm my inlaws live up there a few miles north of you. How about you drop it off at their place and hand my FIL the bill, I'm sure he'd love that.

Wife's tools? Need some kitchen knives. Good value?

I have a Rada 5" santoku and 8" chef that are great for the price. A victorinox 8" chef knife that is a great step up. Steak knives are wusthof and are sharper than heck. The rest of my knives are Shun. i received a lot as presents but I've really enjoyed them. I have the 8" chef, 5" santoku...

Anybody use Plasti Dip on tool handles?

I dipped a ratchet handle probably 5 years ago in plastidip, not aeresol and it's held up okay. I only did one "dip" per say but overall, not bad.

    The Small Rental Garage (10'6" x 16'10" x 8')

Ahh Glenview. A best friend of mine grew up there and I married a girl from up near there. Good looking garage. Like all the cleats you're using, underrated.

PLease get some better tires for that Porsche! I went and sat in my FIL's incapacitated '83 Carrera vert over the weekend...made me sad. Yours is gorgeous. You should grab some of the new Fifteen-52 Outlaw wheel in a nice wide 9" flavor with some 245 Starspecs or RS3. But that would of course...

    Big *** Fans

Rite Hite Revolution fans are better IMO. Much less strobing due to the fewer blades. BAF had some fairly common motor failures when i worked on them 5-6 years back.

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Mid-Century Moto Mecca Makeover

I have several of the Shun classics. 5" Santoku, 3" paring, 3" wavy paring, utility, and the 8" chef is on our wedding registry. Great blades...just need proper care. Love the knife storage. I'm still trying to decide between an upright, magnetic knife block like the picture below or something...

    9/16" Socket Sizing per Brand

I only have one of the Husky versus 4 Protos. I have 5 machines that need this specific sized socket at it at all times. I can't find a site that would sell those Husky 9/16" sockets individually so just trying to save some money and use what we have on hand first. I would prefer to not turn...

    9/16" Socket Sizing per Brand

Yeah was kinda hoping to avoid doing that with these Proto sockets but if that's the easiest solution... Headed to the machine shop and see if they've got time. Thanks
