    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Haha. That’s my fear. You mind saying who you used, and any lessons learned or good/bad experience? It seems like an enterprising individual could make $1k/unit just by dealing with the BS. Not sure I’m that guy.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Thanks for the response. They had it “on sale” a few weeks back for under $1k… I asked if they could do that price and the advertised price went from 1350 to 1400. Haha. Uno reverse card on me. I’ll converse with them and see what information they have. Another question- when folks speak of...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Don’t mean to raise a dead thread- anyone bought from alibaba lately? Curious about tariffs as they don’t seem to align with published numbers necessarily. I’ve purchased some classic mini parts from the uK and was hit with 35% even though auto parts were published st the time at 15%. Probably...

Looking for (2) Homeowners needed to try out new product line

I've got 320 sqft, but I'd need to do clear over my VCT. Let me know if this is something you're interested in. I'm going to finish laying my VCT tomorrow, so am ready to go as soon as you can get it to me.

Find and fix black pipe leaks

How long should a line hold pressure for? I pressurized mine to 5 psi and it bleeds down overnight. I'd think that you want it to hold indefinitely, but I also cant tell if the upstream valve is leaking by. The soap test reveals nothing- no bubbles, nothing.

How to bring back a worn epoxy floor

Would this stuff be good for applying as a clear over VCT? I have lots of windows (lowE) in my garage, and like to leave the south facing garage door open when I work, so I'm concerned about yellowing.

    budget heater for 20x20

Mr. Heater Big Buddy propane heater. Get a 20lb tank and the hose kit for it from northern tool. Costs about $120 and works like a champ. 4k, 9k, or 18k btu's. It'll heat that space up, or at least knock the edge off, and is pretty thrifty on fuel (I think it's about 26 hr burn time on 18k...

    copper or black iron pipe

plastic airline kits? Why not use these http://www.harborfreight.com/complete-garage-air-kit-66747.html? Got one of the HF kits and have run it inside the drywall of the garage. It's 3/8" od, so certainly not big enough for a huge shop, but for a homeowner using one tool at a time, I'd think...

    Shinco mini spilts

That's a great space. Wow. Looks like a place I could easily live. I think I was oversizing my requirement- Might be able to cool the whole shebang with a single 18k upstairs and a fan blowing down. Did you have to have an a/c tech come charge the lines for you? Do you mind my asking...

    Shinco mini spilts

Interesting- I thought all it had to be was energy star to be eligible for the tax credit. What a pain in the ***! Also, good call on the lift situation. I'll have to see what the vertical lift is to ensure it will work for my needs. Justminisplits.com claims that the Shinco 9, 12, and 18k...

    Shinco mini spilts

Most of them are pre-charged, from what I've seen. Some have quick-connect line fittings that I believe are pre-evacuated and don't require pulling vacuum on for the diy'er, but I'm pretty sure you could get away with it on others. If you look at the link below, you see that their lines are...

    Shinco mini spilts

Where did you get yours? I'm looking at justminisplits.com. I have a set of gauges and a vacuum pump from doing a car a/c repair a couple years back, so that part should be ok. Do they come with all you need for installation? I read something about needing a power cord, and may need longer...
