My wife and I are expecting our first in early July and I decided to make the little boy some tools to get him started. A little bit of baltic birch with some scraps of hardwood and I came up with this.

I made mine with cheapo HD plywood to the dimensions of the IKEA BESTA cabinets. This way I could pick up the doors at IKEA and paint the cabinets. Here are a couple of pics before the cabinets got painted.

Here's mine. Basic 19'x12' single. HOA specifies that my car has to park inside each night, so the floor has to remain clear. I use it for car work and some basic woodworking.

I have some of the folding shelf brackets and they work well. The only challenge with them is the small tab inside the shelf that needs to be released to fold them down. I'm not sure how you depress all 3 brackets when they are 12ft apart.
