Good layout for fluorescent light fixtures ??

One cool idea i've seen on this forum is if the garage doors had windows in them, that the lighting was in line with the windows.

    Portable Generator For Live Band

Yes, power quality is not the best from most portable generators. I would use a multimeter that measures voltage and frequency if in doubt. I did check those before running my system on the generator. Started generator, turned on amplifier first, then mixer, then computer, measured voltage and...

    Portable Generator For Live Band

I ran an entire night on a 5000 watt non inverter type generator at a beach party by the river with no issues. Crown Audio 1000 watt amp, JBL 15 DJ Speakers and an old Tower Computer for the music. No problems. Go For It.

Cat 5 Cable for Underground Conduit Question

I ran 3 Cat 5e to my garage in PVC conduit, 1 is used two spare. Did not use Cat 6 because the old computer in the garage does not have gigabit NIC anyway. Help needed lighting a 720 sq.ft. new shop

Same size garage 30'-24' and installed cheap fixtures from Menards $11.34 on sale. Installed 18 total 4' fixtures with T8 bulbs. No problems with light or fail to light even at 10 degrees in garage. I just roughed in receptacles on 3 different switches to turn on sections of light. Cut down...

    Wire Stripper Opinions

I've wired industrial control panels for many years and field service. The automatic wire strippers in my own opinion are good for only 1 thing, when you have multiple wires of one length to strip. The T stripper will also cut the wires. I hate having to carry the auto and cutting pliers at the...
