Did all mine with copper pipe, wasn't as expensive as some people post on here. Ran lines though out my 40x30 and it looks pretty too....

Diesel Tech tool set-Which brand to go with?

In case you haven't made your decision yet let me tell you what I used as a diesel tech. I've worked at heavy truck shops and recently retired from FedEx after 25 years. I have a few different brands because I've tried to get the best price and have bought quite a few tools used from...

    How deep and ??

The length of the cable from the house panel to the junction box is approx 35 feet. It's another I'm guessing 40' to the inside panel. I'm running a compressor 30 back from the panel and then a 220 line to the lift aprox 35' from the panel.

    How deep and ??

I am ready to start wiring my shop. The electrician ran AWG 2-2-2-4 aluminum wire from the main panel to a junction box at the back of the house. I have to run about 40' more wire to the panel I'm going to install in the shop. From what I have read I can use a 90 amp breaker at the main panel...

    wiring 460v 3 phase

I didn't mean to start all this, ,was just wondering what needed to be done to use the compressor. I didn't buy it, was checking into it first. I was looking for a nice used before I go out and buy new. Thanks for the responses, most of them anyways....

    wiring 460v 3 phase

My new shop is being built and I'm want to replace my compressor. I found a great deal on an IR but it's 460 volt. It will be about 4 months before I run the wiring to the shop and wire the shop, so it's just adding what's needed to add a 460 line. What I'd like to know what's the difference...

    2-Post Lift Decision

I've been reading about 2 posts lifts for the last couple months. I've come to the conclusion that whichever lift the person posting has, it's the best lift around. I've been working under a lift for a living for 35+ years and the lift we have is "amazing". It never fails to lift the...

    Aluminum air lines

Amen to that !!! I've been a certified master mechanic for close to 40 years and have worked in countless different shops in those years. It makes me laugh to see some of these responses about fires, o rings etc etc etc... What do you think they use on car a/c systems where high side pressure...

    6' vs 8' workbench?

I have a workbench down most of one wall of my shop, it's about 18' long. My new shop I'm building will have the same, about 24' long. Never have too much room to work on things.

need advice on moving a pretty large, top/bottom box combo....?

I'm getting ready to move all my tool boxes in a couple months. The set I have at work is a Mac Macsimizer and the bottom itself weights in well over 1000 lbs empty. I'm going to empty them, seperate the top and bottom and then strap them down in an enclosed trailer. I'm guessing I'll have to...
