Thanks for the reply and the forum welcome, Drivesitfar. Learning that Morgan apparently manufactured other brands is intriguing. As far as machining a replacement screw goes, that is unfortunately outside of my personal capabilities, but another avenue of possibility none the less...

Question: I’m trying to resuscitate a scrap Morgan Chicago #145 that is missing its lead screw. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the thread pitch and screw’s various general dimensions used on these, and if there is another vintage brand/model of vise that used a screw which would serve...
