Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

The tags are classic. I still have one of those label makers and some tape laying around somewhere. The Brother label maker has replaced it.

    Greasing a grinder

I put Lucas red and tacky in most everything around the house. When I replaced brushes on my 40+ year old 4” Makita angle grinder a few years ago, greased the gears on it also. Wouldn’t over analyze, though I often do!

How crazy is moving a custom built carport?

Kinda already mentioned. Ask the neighbor if you can buy that small triangle of land, pay for a new survey and give your neighbor a case of his favorite afterwards.

Freshening up oil and grease soaked workbench

All that time getting the oil off the top only to cover it with oil again. Oh the irony! 😂

1940's Kalamazoo P-series/816 bandsaw and gearbox question

I also have a Kalamazoo 816 for about 20 years now. Works great but I decided to do some maintenance. Mine came with a single 2” pulley on the motor and the largest pulley on the gearbox is damaged. I’m looking for 5 pieces of information that I cannot find. 1-Gearbox ratio. With this I can...

    The repurposing thread

That’s awesome! Years ago when they were retiring a coal fired generating station where I worked, there was a phone similar to the one on the left in your picture, on an upper floor atop the coal bunkers. Needless to say, someone else snatched that up before I could get to it. But I did get a...

1920-60s DELTA / ROCKWELL picture thread - Post your Delta!

I believe the stand is a Delta as it matches my 10” tilting table saw my dad bought used after WWII. There were no additional non OEM holes drilled in the stand and I kept it that way. The grinder was in similar condition. The bolts are unique as they are formed to match the depressions in the...

    Hanging pliers on pegboard

I hang my pliers behind the screwdrivers, which for me the screwdrivers would be in the circular holders where you have the T handles. Make those holders do double duty. I do not like the holders where you have the screwdrivers, as I inadvertently always knock them off.

    Vintage Brown Brockmeyer bench grinder

How about a picture of where the rubber feet were. A Dremel tool with the right bit and some patience should get the broken screws out.
