Go grab one from Harbor Freight and give it a shot. If you don't like it then you only spent a few bucks. I have a 1/4 HF and it works just the same as a Snap On. I did put a hard handle on it though.
Does anyone have a an easy blueing compound or technique they use on tools? I have several tools with industrial finishes that I've rescued from rust that could use a new finish.
Here's something stumping me since I started getting into vintage Craftsman (aka the gateway drug of tools). The earliest metric sockets I've been able to find are -VV- and some -V-. No =V= at all. Are they just super rare and hard to find or do they exist at all? Looking at the code list...
