    Typical 2 car.. Remodeled

Looks awesome! I like the clean look of the 1x4 trim, and that spigot is cool, haven't seen one like that.

    Hydronic Backflow Valve Location

I had some pictures handy. You can see mine right after CWS and before pressure regulator. There is a drain on it so assuming that is there is backflow it drains out instead of pushing back into the city/potable supply. I'm in MASS and no idea about code.

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

Not sure I follow. I basically did exactly what you said in post 7. In doing so I realized I was not getting any water through the pressure reducer, and replaced that.

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

So I got it all done tonight. Wasn't that bad. The Pressure tank was full of water and weighed a ton. It was obviously bad. The water wouldn't come out of it unless you hold open the air valve. Also replaced the Auto Bleeder. Now the fun part. Got all that done, and it would not refill or...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

So I am going to take a swing at replacing the expansion tank and the bleeder valve today when my dad comes by. I am not overly concerned about that, but was hoping to confirm I have the bleed procedure right. Here is the layout (Not sure how good the picture turned out) Zone 1 - HW Heater...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

I've got a new tank and air vent sitting here ready to go, so I am going to swap them out, bad or not. Then bleed the air as best I can and see where that gets me. Going to try this this afternoon so I'll keep you posted. I like the idea of the pressure guage.

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

Re: Can anyone help me figure out the bleed procedure on my heat? Its freezing outside, but actually not bad in the house. Heat seems to work ok, but I bet it's not running at it's best. Parts should be here today, and going to give it a shot this weekend. HVAC person postponed on me til...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

When you refer to the airscoop, are you referring to the vent on top (Circled in green) or the whole fitting (in Red) or both?

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

The Tank says it shoudl be 12 PSI, but reading 0. I thought about pumping it up, but figure that is just treating the sympton. I have the heating guys coming Thurs morning. However, I am going to try and sneak out today and buy a new expansion take and do that myself. Will keep you all posted.

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

When I put a pressure gauge on the valve at the bottom of the air tank, it reads 0, leading me to believe that it is toast. (attached pic of valve I am referring to.) I don't know if this is even a relevant test so correct me if I am wrong. I live on the north shore of boston, so 25 was our...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

I had the pressure relief valve changed a little while back as it had a drip. Probably for the same reason you said. Lack of excercise and it must have popped once and then dribbled. Here is a picture of the bleed valve. I believe it is an automatic one. The Red Cap on top was tightened down...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

I am thinking more and more of starting with the expansion tank and doing it myself. I had a leaking isolation valve but it seems to have sealed it self back up. I am guessing it down't get a lot of exercise which caused a slight leak when I moved it the other day. I actually did have the...

Can anyone help me figure how the bleed procedure on my heat?

I was thinking of replacing the expansion tank, but it appears there is no service valve to isolate it, so the system would need to be drained. Would't it make sense to put the service valve that is right before it ,after it instead, so you could isolate the tank and the pressure reducer and the...
