    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Asked if I should just drop the oil, but they said to not and instead sent out a replacement. New one came and was also overfilled. But at least no leaks. I dropped the oil to the right level and all is well thus far.

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

I'll see if Lowes puts up a fight first. If they do, then I'll start exploring. I did also note what might be a potential leak coming from the rear of the pump at the connecting cog which drives the belt. The rod itself was covered in oil after break-in and seemed to form a small running leak...

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Yeh, I'm thinking the same -- it's from Lowes, so imagine they'll be good to sort it out.

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Yeh, the manual states that its filled from factory. They obviously weren't paying much attention when filling this one though. The gasket on the front of the pump is a bit more of a concern. I just checked it again after giving it a wipe and its already moist in the spot I photographed.

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Finally got the compressor delivered after a long delay. Oddly, it looks like the oil is way overfilled from factory. I can only 'just' see an air bubble at the top of the sight glass if I rock the compressor side to side. I still ran it for the 30 minute break in. Hoping that might balance it...

New US General six drawer roll cart?

For anyone who has one of these -- are you also running Ernst socket boss 18's? I'm wondering if they'll fit in (front to back) in any of the draws. I've measured 19.5 inch of space in one of my draws and the boss 18" is spec'd at 19.63" total length. Guess I could just trim some off the end if...

    Sandblast cabinet -what media

This is what I also thought -- though you see many people using it. Odd.

    Sandblast cabinet -what media

I've noticed a lot of people on YT bead blasting engines using fine glass beads. Either dry or wet. I'm curious, I've always been told to avoid using anything other than soda when dealing with engine parts. Even with good prep and cleaning afterwards, I've been told it is close to impossible to...

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

I could probably get away without it. But it would be helpful for managing the space I have. That dolly I linked looked pretty solid, but it is a full custom job.

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

I'm also curious if anyone has seen a dolly/ transporter which suit these three legged compressors? I've seen some which work for four legged options. But not three. If nothing is out there, I may need to make something custom like the below. Or just put casters directly on the legs...

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Got it -- I did see others mention something similar. Also try and keep it elevated above the outlet? Also, I ended up buying these as I noticed the outlet was actually 3/4: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JNCW46I?tag=atomicindus08-20 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DRMFBXZ?tag=atomicindus08-20...

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

Ok, thanks all. I think I'll go with the below. Its 1/2" with a good PSI rating. Probably go with the manual drain version. https://www.amazon.com/PneumaticPlus-SAU430-N04DG-MEP-Particulate-Coalescing-Regulator/dp/B01JNCUTW4/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    New Dewalt 60-gallon setup

I just purchased a new Dewalt 60-gallon two stage (DXCMV5076055), which I'm picking up next week. This is my first proper compressor, and not overly familiar with the space. So, I'm looking for some recommendations of a decent (but not overly prosumer) air filter + regulator. Wanting something...
