5th generation native Texan, my family is originally from Tennessee until 1880s. After civial war upon arrival in Texas they homesteaded in Lancaster area of of Dallas county. I grew up in nice little town of Cedar Hill of the 60s and 70s. We now have settled in old house in Midlothian, next to the historic business district.
