    My Take on Plier Storage

Actually, The photo angle might be a little misleading. I purposely shot it from a high angle to show how everything fits together. In reality everything is easily identifiable, with certain go to favorites in key spots. Besides, I am not saying it is right for everyone, but it works for me. If...

    My Take on Plier Storage

To answer everyone's questions, in no particular order. 1) The Robogrips were a gift many moons ago. 2) The fencing pliers belonged to my Dad, keep them around, just because. 3) The $20 one on Amazon turns into $40 Can + $20 for shipping. Nice but no thank you. 4) To cut the aluminum I just kept...

    My Take on Plier Storage

Like many others I have been looking for a solution to the plier storage problem. Commercially available racks seemed to be either excessively expensive, or did not use the space efficiently. Some homemade dividers other members used, while interesting, just didn't feel right. What I ended up...

There you go. Good eye bluebolt. Also, in the opposite top corner of each box is a clear sticker with gold lettering reading "Professional Series", hard to see in the pics.

No, in fact I bought the three pieces over a couple years. The only other complete set I have ever seen was the display set at the store. I did come across a top box advertised for sale a month or so ago.

Bought these in the mid to late eighties. Not sure if that makes them vintage or not but they have been around a while.

    A little upgrading

That would be my question as well. A TV in the Garage is just a distraction. Counter productive and possibly injury inducing. A radio on the other hand is a virtual necessity. Just my personal oppinion, otherwise I love what you have done with the place.

Emptying a drawer in my tool box: Air Tool Hangers

Step Seven: Get your daughter some work gloves that fit. Hate to see a good helper injured by using unsafe safety gear. Otherwise very cool project, may have to copy your design.

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

One time I was working on a car and kept hitting my elbow on a sharp edge. Convinced it was only a matter of time before I actually cut my arm I decided some protection was in order. I found a scrap of rubber to make a cover for the edge, It just needed a slit cut in it. For some reason I...

Question about putting Gambrel style metal roof on shop.

I went with the Gambrel style roof. The extra space upstairs is incredible. As for doing the metal roof, we had 4 guys working in two teams. One team did the sides working on a ladder from the ground. The other two guys worked on the top section from the upper floor. We started at one end and...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Saturday, I reworked the bench I built many moons ago. Incorporated an extra 4 drawer tool chest I've had kicking around. I always thought the bench needed drawers, but could never decide how to go about it.
