    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I swapped the two lines at the motor and left everything else the same. I think that the flow was backwards.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Update: So I switched around the lines on the pump and that seems to have fixed the issue (need to fix the broken lift to be able to cycle it through and balance the two lifts). The picture in the f*&()(*g manual was wrong!

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Based on what’s happened it would make sense to me that the flow is backwards on the primary lift. Ie. secondary lift all the way up, when it got to the end of its travel, the pressure was exerted backwards on primary the primary lift and pulled the threaded ram out of the lift. Otherwise how...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I did run it up the first time without compressed air (the bang came as I was putting it up the first time, with the secondary lift all the way up). The broken lift is the main one. I'm not sure what would cause it to pull out - going up the force should push it into the hole and coming down...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Well, this photo will explain why the lift isn't going up and what the banging noise I heard was. Any idea what would cause the ram to pull out like that?! Looks like it was threaded too, so quite a bit of force to pull it out. I don't think the fix will be as easy as just sticking the ram...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

It was around $2100 including shipping to Vancouver. I got the better Italian pump which added about $300 versus the Chinese pump. I'm still confused about why my secondary lift is all the way up and the main lift hasn't moved. Shouldn't the main lift go up first?

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

This a copy of a page from the manual (did I mention that it *****) showing the hydraulic connections, which is the way I've hooked it up. On the primary lift, I assume the second connection is a return line. It seems to me that the pressure line should go to the "T" and both of the lines...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

For some reason the pics got shrunk and rotated when I uploaded them - not sure why, but sorry they aren't better.

Here are a few pics of the hose connections on my lift:

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

So I have the non-main lift all the way up and the main lift is all the way down. When I push the "up" button, the motor makes a screeching sound, bad enough that I don't think I should be running it. When I push the down button, nothing happens. Not sure what to do at this point - I really...

This is the switch. It was in a bag with other stuff, so no idea where it goes.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Thanks for the tips, I will try those suggestions. Mine is the Deca lift - it is very similar (if not identical to the EE model). Does any have any photos of how the high limit switch is to be installed - there's absolutely nothing in the manual to show where it goes.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Help!!! I'm finally getting around to installing the scissor lift that I bought over a year ago and have some questions that I'm hoping that some of you that have already done this can help with (the manual that comes with the lift completely *****). I'm in the process of setting up the lift...

Remove old garage pad or pour over top?

I'm finally getting around to building the new garage and knocked down the old one last week. The old pad is in poor shape and my plan was to remove it. The guy that is building the new garage says it doesn't need to come out. (cost to remove would be $700-800 plus dump fees, which could be...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Cost for the slab is around $7300. I still think an additional $2k for the lift pits is on the high side. My contractor suggested that I speak directly with his concrete guy to tell him exactly what needs to be done - I don't think he's completely clear on what's required for the lift. Trevor
