In my garage I painted the ceiling white, and used a clear coat intended for log homes on the walls. I'm pleased with the results, and think it looks much better than painting the whole thing white, and less work to boot.

I used osb in my garage and couldn't be happier. I painted the celing white, and put a clear sealer on the walls, and I think it looks great!

Around here, for at least 7 months of the year the extra heat from an incandescent light isn't wasted. It helps heat the house. I agree using incandescent lights is a waste of money, in warmer areas where air conditioning is being used, but around here the cost savings isn't all it's hyped...
