Pictures of rock island 591 3" vise. You can see number 76 on bottom of sliding jaw and stationary jaw. Hope these pictures help date vise. New at this so hope pictures come through. Thanks for help..

Thanks for pictures. I haven't found any date on my rock island 591 yet? It has never had a tag on the side indicating Birtman.

This Rock Island 591 3" vise is stamped a little different. I would like to know manufacture date. On the side of moving jaw is raised letters of 591. Below that on left side is stamped number of 1. On bottom of slide, just below where the lead screw enters vise, the number 76 is stamped. If...
