They are a pain. I've broken socket bits and a ratchet (guess I shouldn't have leaned on it with a pipe, but I couldn't get a breaker bar in at the right angle).
Isn't the Firebird a good reason to keep the trailer? I seem to remember you drag racing it. Sure is nice to be able to go racing and not have to change tires, or anything, just roll it off the trailer and ready to go. Also nice to know you have a way home if something breaks at the track.
I was literally just thinking about this thread and how I was sad I may never know how it turned out. Glad to see you are back, and living in this amazing house. Can't wait to see the updates!!
Your sensor looks like it came apart. You can still see the outer sleeve in the hub. Definitely needs replaced.
And for brakes I would look at Hawks. I use their heavy duty pads on my trucks, and the high performance pads on my race cars.
Congrats! It was a long road, but something you can truly be proud of, and I'm sure will get used a lot, and make many memories for you and your family.
You can get hubcentric rings made to adapt the new wheels to the old rotors. Much easier than machining your nice new wheels.
I haven't used this company before, but take a look here to get an idea of what I am talking about.

My wife agrees that is one of my least useful talents as well, but glad we can prove her wrong. I did this same game, and do it today as well. I like to think the night portion of the game impresses her, at least a little bit.
It looked like a lot of stuff to me at first, then I realized that your island was in the picture too. I agree with Rick, I think it will clean up quickly. Good work, and can't wait to see the Av finally get back in the garage.
I suspect you might need a little clearancing for the vacuum pump? That looks mighty close when factoring in engine movement. Nothing a few well placed taps with a hammer couldn't fix though. Looks like things are progressing nicely. I will say that your weather forecast from a few days back...
Well that makes more sense, you don't disappoint when it comes to the "Well while I'm doing this, I might as well do that" logic.
Like the others your thread is part of my daily routine. Keep up the good work and we keep coming back for our daily fix.
When I read this, I thought for sure the next thing we read was going to be you decided to upgrade the turbos. That seems to be more of you "typical fashion"
