    Motor Starter, Separate Control Question

I am almost done with my Quincy compressor refurb, and am looking for clarification for wiring the on/off control with my Square D Type S motor starter. My starter is class 8536, and with it is their push button kit, on/off, class 9999 sa10 ( I attached a copy of the pdf wiring bulletin). This...

Which of these two 5hp Baldor motors?

Thanks guys! The older Baldor does have the cast iron end caps. I was looking for a reason to run the older motor and I think I have it, kinda fits with the 1971 compressor. And the motor pulley is a bushing type, so costs will be minimal to fit the 1-3/8 shaft.

Which of these two 5hp Baldor motors?

Hi guys, I bough a new to me Quincy 325 compressor and have a choice of two used baldor 5hp motors to spin it. The first is an older L3708T in a TEFC enclosure which uses a large 213T frame. The other is the more common L1410T which has an open enclosure in a 184T frame. They both spin at 1725...

Are there any American made GFCI outlets available?

Check out the Cutler Hammer CH line. The 200A meter breaker and 225A main lug panel I just installed both are Made in the USA. Quality product with tin coated copper buss and lifetime warranty.

    Meter/Main Question

Even though there is no requirement from the PoCo or the City, the head building official would like to see a main shutoff outside the house. He told me it is for the fire department, then I reminded him that I work for the fire department. That did not change his point of view, and he still...

    Meter/Main Question

I hadn't thought of PVC, there will only be about two inches between the boxes. Thanks for the tip, I'll run it by code enforcement.

    Meter/Main Question

Great, thanks for the advice. One more question on my setup. Located directly behind the 200 amp meter breaker will be my 200 amp sub-panel. I will run 3/0 CU and #4 ground from the feed-through-lugs to the main lug panel, through a short rigid 2" ******. Do I have to put bonded bushings inside...

    Meter/Main Question

Hi guys, I’m looking for a little advice upgrading my meter/breaker and adding a main lug panel for my house & garage. I have a few questions, but I will start with just the first one. The flush mount Homeline 200 amp "all in one" is being replaced, note the attached picture. What I would like...
