In a shop where you're in and out of cars all day I suppose I can see the use of the angled posts but in my personal garage/shop the space savings takes priority. And I've worked on many of asymetrical lifts before, all with angled towers, and can't say that when using mine I think the...
Why is the lack of an angle in the post a negative? That's part of the draw... they take up less space/width (out to out) while still providing as much inside spacing. It's still a asymetric lift and was designed that way from the get-go.
Boost, sorry for the late reply. But it looks like you already discovered that the best contact is now Byron.
I actually did end up purchasing an SPL-10 lift... and at a very reasonable cost (less than $3500 out the door, as I drove down and picked it up and then also installed it). The...
Thanks TXranger and Hem1TP. Now I just need to find some funds for a project car, lol.
And yeah, Hem... I'm not exactly sure what the new member note you're talking about is but feel free to hyperlink away.
rmckee, I had HWS Garages (https://www.hwsgarage.com/) do the build. I think the majority of the numbers are in this thread somewhere but I don't fault you for not finding them in all these pages. If I recall the base price for a single story 24x36 was $38K. But with the addition of the...
Thanks dogdog and bczygan, that's what I'm looking for! I had considered modifying a blank steel cover as others above suggested but I just wasn't sure mounting the receptacle to the face plate would be strong enough for the twist lock. But since that's exactly what the above plate appears to...
I considered this but I'd still need to be able to affix the receptacle itself to something, especially with the twist-lock application.
That is essentially what I'm looking for but I think that adapter plate is made for the style box I have (the holes are spaced too far apart).
Except...
I thought this would be easier to come by than I am finding. Or maybe I am just not searching for the right item. :dunno:
But I have what I think is a standard two gang outlet box (see pic below). The holes for the two outlets are spaced 1 13/16" inches apart. And what I'm looking to do is...
Thanks for this review. I just became aware of Nussbaum lifts through www.obsessedgarage.com and came here looking for additional information/experience... happy to have found some. I'm also in NC and I may consider a plant tour myself sometime in the near future, as I travel the state for...
Mobile Liftman, I was wondering if you've had any experience with Nussbaum lifts? If so, do you have thoughts on how they compare to Bendpak or others of similar cost?
I have just become aware of them between this forum and Obsessed Garage and I'm very interested as they are made in the USA...
Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like this is a no brainer... I need to wire up a 240 receptacle. On that note, there is no way to use an existing 3 wire (no neutral) 240 outlet to connect to the 4 wire L14-30R plug coming out of the generator is there?
I have a very generic question. I just recently bought a WEN gn625i invertor generator (5000W/6250W) as a backup power supply for our house when we lose power. It has the ability to feed power via a 120V NEMA TT-30R or a 240V NEMA L14-30R plug. If I am not going to be running anything in the...
I just wanted to say thanks to Lynden for the suggestion of finishing it out this way. The whole project was a LOT more work than I anticipated but I think the finished product turned out quite nice. I'll probably make another dedicated post about it at a later date. For now, here are some...
