2 post Asymmetric v. Symmetric lift question

So if I have the room would the best bet be an extra wide symmetric? Are there any drawbacks to the extra wide set up other than obviously taking up a little more space?

I have a 94, you probably have a newer truck. I go to the scrap yard regularly so unless their scales are way off my truck should be pretty close to this weight. Its a 94 idi 7.3, auto, 4x4 single cab, SRW truck.

2 post Asymmetric v. Symmetric lift question

Hey guys, I am in the market for a 9-10k lb lift. I understand what Asymmetric and Symmetric lifting are, but I would like some opinions. I mostly want opinions. I work mostly on cars, but I do have a 3/4 ton f250 that weighs about 6500 pounds. What I am wondering is should I try to find a...

Hi guys, I am at the point where I am ready to put metal siding on my garage. Do you all know if there is a site where you can upload your own pictures and then manipulate the siding and trim color? Or do I need to find someone that is good with photoshop? I want to see how different...

    Concrete Curing 32x48, 6" slab

I hope it didn't either. The valley is normally a few degrees cooler than over here. Thanks for the recommendation. Mine seems to be staying pretty wet just spraying it down twice a day. Should I be doing more? It's been in the 50s-60s here during the day. I have sprayed it down twice a...

    Concrete Curing 32x48, 6" slab

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm just north of Charlottesville. I sprayed the slab down with the hose this evening and I plan on doing it twice a day for a while. Will that be enough? If that's not enough then what is a recommended curing product? I work a lot and don't have time to spray it...

Concrete thickness and strength for 2 post lift

Gotcha....I am looking at similar lifts, eagle and greg smith equipment are around the same price. From looking around it seems that mostly everything comes from China other than Mohawk

Concrete thickness and strength for 2 post lift

The building that I am planning on having built will have a second floor, but by raising the ceiling to 14' I will either loose space upstairs or the roof will be even higher. I would like to do 12' if I can but I am still researching it. Which lift do you have? Yeah, all of those...

Concrete thickness and strength for 2 post lift

I heard back from one of the lift companies today and they said 12' is fine for a 9k lift but I should do at least 12.5' if I do a 10k lift. They also recomended that I use 6" reinforced 3000 psi concrete in the are the lift will be in. So I am thinking I will go with 6" in the 1/3 of the...
