Or what about a mid-rise scissor with an open center? Atlas and Bendpak both have good options. You don't really have much room for posts.

I can't tell you if it's the same or not, but I've been pretty pleased with mine for the few months I've had it. Also only using it occasionally and the battery life has been great so far. I try not to keep it plugged in all the time but have left it plugged in a few times without a problem.
