Low headroom thoughts for electric hoist for <1000# capacity

Specifically want to lift riding lawn mowers (standing a Snapper on end, then raising to put on dolley) but also option for auto engines and light machinery. I'm thinking 1000# capacity 18 x 24 one car garage with low built up beam (2x8, 2x10 & plywood weird stack (don't ask): (2) 2x8, 2x10...

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

UPDATE: OOPS: It's a 14", not a 16" I need to put tires on it. Does anyone make crowned rubber tires?

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

Update: Eagle has Landed! Removed entire top wheel assembly - turned out balance point was perfect requiring no effort. Finally close inspection reveals NEED TIRES: One missing, Other worn so might as well do both.

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

LOL I have no idea - don't know anything about these saws except they do metal and is only thing I'm interested in. Those look like John Deere colors, but the saw seems to have 2 different shades of green. They even painted that motor mount bracket yellow. Missing fence and t-slide...

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

Datsun is a Mini Pickup and it went nicely laying on its back. 2 men were able to tilt it onto the bed. There's no way this is 600# like some said. Wondering about those colors? Factory or???

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

When we moved my 32" Crescent, we removed the entire upper wheel/axle/slide assembly (and the table.) I'm thinking maybe do the same and also remove the saw from the base, then I would have smaller pieces easier to move and for sure easier for one man to unload truck and setup.

If I get the rollback, transport vertically or laying on back?

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

Here's a pic of what it looks like (not actual saw, pic from internet) Might not be a bad idea to remove the table. Friend used to have a dump truck with a lift gate which would have been idea. I also have a friend with a roll back which might be the easiest - could tilt it back on ground...

    Moving a Walker Turner 16" (EDIT OOPS it's a 14") Metal/Wood Cutting Bandsaw

It is complete with the bottom casting - it's permanently mounted on a "depressed center" dolly with 5" casters. Debating if able to lay down in low to ground 1974 Datsun pickup truck OR haul in my friends Thule dump trailer either standing on blocks or laying down. The trailer is almost 3...

Need advise on Daytona Mig.com and Italian mig welders

I don't understand all the criticism of the Italian MIGs. I just bought a used Astro Power MIG 110 made in Italy and when I opened the case to see how "crappy" it was, I was truly amazed. I have a big copper wound transformer (no poorly designed inverter that blows up when there is a...
