    My Garage/Shop for fabrication/machining

Its complicated. Yes its been in the family over a hundred years so there are a lot of family visitors and folks who grew up going there etc. It is technically/legally hers, but she (and I) want family to continue to feel welcome to visit and stay etc. Also we have our first child on the way...

Haha, yea, truth be told I wish I was in the UP, my wife wont go for it though. I was arguing with someone the other day about this, they (a Michigan native) were arguing that this is Northwestern Michigan, and my feeling was that would mean Western UP, but I was assured by a couple people this...

    Tools of Japan

This is a funny one. The Hozan lock ring wrench, you can probably find one in any bicycle repair shop. At some point in the 80's they made a batch that had the Engrish misprint "Rock Ring Wrench" too funny. Anyway, I searched one for decades and finally found one cheap on ebay randomly.

    Tools of Japan

Almost forgot one of my very favorite tools, my Marui Keiki micro protractor. It took a couple years of searching to find this one, but I have been seeing them pop up on eBay more frequently for some reason. I guess this opens the door to all my Japanese metrology tools now.

Not long after all this, I finally go my lift anchored and wired. This was pretty monumental for me, I got pretty emotional. Between my wife and I we have 8 vehicles, all older and or high mileage. Below is the list; 1989 2wd Toyota short bed Pickup 250k 1996 F250 longbed supercab, 7.3...

    My Garage/Shop for fabrication/machining

Ok, now that I have the image thing figured out again, below is the interior the day we signed. I moved my STI in immediately. Basically a shell, no electric, nothing. Right off the bat I had a well drilled, septic installed, and 208 3 phase trenched in and spray foam insulation on the walls...

    My Garage/Shop for fabrication/machining

Well, I will start at the beginning. This is what it looked like when we bought it. It is 30x80, 16' ceiling, 12x14' door and an office on the side that is about 11x30 that has the well tank, drains for sink, shower, toilet and washer/dryer. I only have a toilet and sink so far but...
