I think you're right. @Terry D commented on this as well. Looks like I will probably go down the route of new lighting. Thank you both!

Incredibly helpful. Thank you & I will look into the Garage Gallery. I don't think I'm color blind, so I may have to give this a shot. Let me know if you'll be in Western Mass & we'll get together.

This makes a lot of sense - thank you for your input, sensei!! Happy to take other recos as well. First timer over here, and even if I don't do all the changes myself, I'd still like to know what I'm getting myself into.

Thank you very much for your note. Just so I understand, if I did NOT plan on adding more fixtures, should I still do the ballast bypass LED? Similarly, it sounds like the better option may be to just replace and add more fixtures? While I don't want to spend a trillion dollars on this project...

Hi Everyone! I recently introduced my garage (thread can't be found here - https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/welcome-to-carma-motor-club-seeking-friends.486616/#post-9233433) and would love to get your thoughts on lighting! The garage will be a place to store my vehicles, with the...

Oh, yea. The building has been inspected, and the roof is in great shape! You look like you've got a ton of experience here. I'm curious if you have any suggestions for what bulbs I should put in the existing lighting fixtures. I haven't been in the place in a few days, but I'm assuming they...

Apologies for the delay - I'm just seeing this. It's actually just sheetrock, or plasterboard, not metal. Thoughts on cleaning in that case? I definitely agree, and so long as it doesn't look too tired, patina could be a good look.

Thank you! I've never cleaned something of this scale. Super basic question - what cleaning tools do you recommend?

Thank you very much for chiming in! The building is 56 years old (est. 1965). There is a furnace and Forced Air Oil tank inside. I would love to do all of that, but given what I'm looking to do, I don't think it will be practical. To give more context, the garage will be used strictly as a...

Thank you very much! Close - Massachusetts. The first thing on my to-do list is clean up the interior walls, which I believe are sheet rock or plaster board. Any recommendations? More images below

Hi Everyone, It's a pleasure to be here! I am the new owner of a beautiful garage that was previously used as a repair shop! I have been looking for years, and am thrilled that I found this. The garage is 5 miles from my house, and will now be used as a private garage to store some of my...
