Depends what you are working on really. I am and escalator/elevator mechanic. Everything I have is 12pt. I work in a lot of hard to reach tight places. 12pt makes it easier to get the wrench or socket on the fastener when room is minimal.

Im slowly working on him to buy a cordless. I agree with you guys they really arent much more money for way more power.

I use air at home, but my dad is looking at corded impacts. He is having a harder time taking wheels off his cars. Problem with his setup is no air and the higher grade impacts are a lot more expensive.
