    Porcelain Tiles Cold climate

I laid almost 2000 feet of that same Metro tile (different color) in my shop and garage. My shop gets down to the 40's in the winter and I have had no issues whatsoever. It gets up to 100 in summer. This might help... https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=294935

Flooring plank orientation in narrow hallway

Whatever is easiest for the contractor... that is what he would recommend. LOL... (I have NEVER seen a hallway with flooring not parallel to the wall!)

    Please help

Screw the township. Have "concrete party" and invite a couple friends. A truck could back the chute in your "building" and unload three yards in 10 minutes or less. Put forms outside the "door" for excess and screed toward the door, using a movable form to use up whatever you have leftover as a...

    Plasma Cutter

x3 on the Hypertherm. I bought the 30XP for light stuff and am impressed with its capabilities. Its so nice being able to plug it into 120v or 240v, whatever is handy. It really cranks on 240v. The bigger ones should meet your needs.

liftmaster 8500 with torsion shaft with zero extension

I installed two 8500's on brand new doors and the openers wobble a little as they operate. The Door company guy says that is normal. I think not. As I found out from disassembling (backed up by the door service tech) the LiftMaster collar that connects the opener to the torque tube can easily...

Help me on my new Garage please

My only concern with re-beaming this structure is, are the footings up to carry the load? Based upon the pictures of how this thing was cobbled together, I am guessing they were never intended to carry the load of a second story, especially focused at load points rendered by new beam additions...

Help with porcelain tile edge w/ block/drywall transition

Depends on how much work you want to do... The vertical pieces are basically rectangles with the lower edge sloping down toward the door. Each one will have to be custom cut, keeping track of the lower angle so as not to cut the wrong side of the tile. I did it in my garage and it looks...

    Tile selection help

What Dakota said. Get a couple pieces, put them butted up against a wall and wet them and then try to slide on them. Try a couple different shoes. This will give you an idea whether or not they are too slippery. Ray
