    Epstein's Day, July 4, 2014

Lmao! Yeah, I actually heard my debit card whimper at one point! Love me some Channellock, but I'm more excited with the Wright ratchets and wrenches. Been around tools all my life growing up in a farming and excavating family but had never heard of Wright until the word started to spread around...

    Epstein's Day, July 4, 2014

Got the last of my order Friday!! I may have went a bit overboard, but I had some ****** rid me of most of my hand tools recently and decided that since I missed last years event, I'd take the opportunity to support a small business. Thanks again to Jori, Steve and all the rest of the HJE...

    Epstein's Day, July 4, 2014

Jori - just wanted to thank you and the rest of the HJE folks. I've been contacted by Steve several times updating me on the status of my order including twice today concerning an issue that most other suppliers would not have gone the extra steps to make sure to correct instead of just...

    Epstein's Day, July 4, 2014

You guys are killing me!! I (like a few others have posted) got a call, which I missed, and an email from Steve at HJE informing me that Wright was backed up and that my order would be delayed. Outstanding customer service that most companies can't/won't be bothered with. No problems at all with...

Order #27382!!! With 33 items of Wright, Channellock, and Armstrong goodies!!! I missed last year's event so I think I made up for it. Special thanks to Bull for arranging this again this year. Happy 4th of July to everyone but especially those who have and continue to serve this great nation.

    New Plier Rack

Matt - please put me down for 2 black sets!

picts of your in-floor heat set ups.

Cougfan - nice setup! I've been running the same 20Kw unit since about October - so far so good. I will say that I was somewhat surprised when I got the unit and actually opened it up to see how small the internal piping was in comparison to the 3/4" fittings. I'm running mine on 1500' of 1/2"...

    Spray foam insulation

NES - if you can justify the initial cost, I say go for it! I had my 30x54x12 done this past fall and LOVE it though it was NOT cheap. I do agree with the others about roughing in utilities before spraying, but I didn't worry about utilities due to surface mounting all electrical/plumbing/etc...

    Spray foam

DoSumpthin - EXTREMELY happy!! We've had a bit of a little cold snap here the last couple days and I had the floor heat turned off over the weekend while I started framing and hanging OSB. When I started, the outside temp was about 40, inside right at 55. After turning off the heat, the temp...

    Repeater

I did as jkwilson suggests - I installed a Cisco Homeplug AV kit last week and am surprisingly pleased with it's performance. My incoming electrical service is split at the meter and feeds both the house and garage. Garage is roughly 230' from the house and I've been able to get a consistent...

    Spray foam

Update - about 1/2 way done today and will finish tomorrow. The reason for the 2 day job is because the ins co is a good distance from me (St. Louis area) and they had another job to finish this morning before starting here. Crew got to the site around 9am (just as their scheduler had estimated)...

    Spray foam

Thanks for all the insights guys - I THINK I've got all the bases covered, but I'm sure I'll find out differently tomorrow!!

    Spray foam

norcaljr -- let's just say it's not cheap!! For the ENTIRE building, it's right around $9k!! It ends up being R-14 but I'm just as concerned with filling the gaps. I probably could have done it cheaper, but in the end and from what I've learned here I think it's worth it. BTW - yes, closed cell...

    Spray foam

Hey all - I'm getting my 30x54x12 pole barn spray foamed this Thursday and Friday and just curious if there are any issues I should watch out for!? The last month has been hectic, but got the concrete down, raidiant heat in and operational, now the foam this week. Hopefully by the end of next...

    What's a good laundry detergent for work-clothes?

Stanley home products degreaser concentrate. Once had an old pair of carhart bibs that got soaked in about a half gallon of 2 stroke oil which had sat all winter in rubbermaid tote. Washed them three times with the concentrate following the directions. Came out stain free, and are now the most...
