    German-Hand-Tools

This is a matter of opinion, its quite ridiculous to base a shopping experience on things like "my items arrived sparkling new" or "they answered my emails within hours"(shouldnt have to email at all). These things are not above and beyond the call of duty for any vendor. Now price ya that makes...

Whats the advantage of the huge, totally unwieldy plastic gedore ratchet??much rather have the bahco then that plastic pos.

    washer size

The thickness on that washer is pretty critical too thick and it will cause the bolting to lock the tensioner in place, too thin and it will allow it to wobble with the bolting tight. That washer and bolt is the pivot for the spring loaded tensioner.Don't cut corners here get the right part.

    Square sockets for pipe plugs?

Sounds like alot of work "reforming" a ¢39 pipe plug, probably would have been better off trashing it and getting a plug with an internal or external hex.

Can you double.nut a couple of standard thin jam nuts under the head and tighten/loosen via those instead of the hardened.head?

    No BS screwdriver guide

this is not a screw... and a screwdriver is not a prybar. If you misuse a tool dont complain if it breaks on you it's your own fault. Now if you want a good screwdriver to drive screws and not use as chisels and prybars,my vote is either PB swiss or Nepros.

Well I jusf received my 40pc bovidix tap and die set and these are my preliminary findings.. Love the metal case with sturdy hinge and clasps Cant speak for how these things cut yet but for the most part all the tools seem finished no flash on the tap flutes etc, that you might see from a china...

    Buffing chrome on a wrench?

It removes the scratches...because the aluminum is softer than the chrome surface very fine particles of aluminum oxide are produced that act as a polishing compound, adding a little water helps as well.Ive used this trick for years to remove rust, road tar and generally revitalize chrome bumpers...
