    underground gas line cost?

    leak test was on it for a day and a half and the gage never moved. Has a tracer wire and a yellow warning tape above the pipe.

    Plumber had to -take a trip out to my town to pull permit -go pick up his materials -come install materials -call inspector -meet inspector for inspection -have insurance -have a license for gas fitting Even if he made 8 or 900 I have no problem with it.

    Well, line is in and signed off by the inspector. Final bill from the plumber is $1130. Yahoo.

    Guys, my dad's friend is going to do it for 1300. Still seems steep but its 700 less than the uncle was..... Plus he can do it in the next couple days. I guess this is the cost of living in Massachusetts....

    Thanks!!! I feel better..... errr or worse.... I'm going to get some more quotes, I'm not really comfortable doing gas fittings myself, plus its not allowed here in communist massachusetts...

    Ok, so my garage is detatched and I'm looking to have the natural gas run out to it for heating. The meter on the house is on the corner nearest to the garage so its only about a 10 foot underground run. I was quoted $2000 dollars just to run the gas line with me having to dig the trench and...

    Well its been a long time coming but the concrete truck is coming today!!!! new floor going in!!!! I had to chip out 4 or 5 inches of pavement and then found 4 or 5 inches of junk concrete under that which I also removed. I then found there was no frost wall across the front of the garage...

    Thats what I'm leaning towards now. I'm going to pour the floor pretty thick, probably 6" since I'm planning putting some milling and turning machines in there.
