I saw the 56 in a catalog I came across. Hollands definitely seemed to build some great vises. I finished cleaning up the 26 last week and kept it all original.

One more comment on your 53. The smaller 12-3/4" Atlas drill presses did not come with the column collar. They did come standard on the heavier 15" drill presses, but they are rarely seen on the smaller ones. And it looks like you've got one of the rare ones installed on yours. Nice little bonus.

Nice looking Atlas! The Model 53s are not so common among the Atlas lineup, at least around my area. If you haven't come across it yet, here's a link to the manual: Model 53 Manual

Picked up this “Record No. 6” vise a couple days ago. Under all the grease and grime, I found a Starrett 926. Not too bad for 250. Can’t wait to get this mounted.

They do seem really well made! I’ll post more pictures after I clean it up. Planning to keep it all original.

Anyone know much about Hollands vises? I picked up this 26H today. I found a couple catalogs online, but can’t find any references to a 26H. Only a model 26. Anyone know what the H means? Also, it has a 46 stamped on the underside of the jaw. Guessing that might be the manufacture date? If so...
