Yeah I don’t know why I kept writing impact screwdriver but thanks for the help.

    Power tools???

No I wasn’t clear I know the difference but I think I’m using to broad a term. I’m looking for the difference between and impact driver and an impact screwdriver like the one sold by snap on CTS761. But I guess the impact driver is more powerful than the screwdriver I was just not looking at the...

    Power tools???

I could see where the screwdriver would need to be used when installing face plates or screwing in the screws that hold on acrylic or starboard.... I know I’m missing it but where would and impact driver be used on a boat or engine?

    Power tools???

So after getting off the snap on high and I had to decided if I wanted to be a boat tech because I like it and want to make money or do I want to just buy tools.... maybe all 3 but more so the first 2. However having been saving a bunch of money getting quality tools for low like used snap on...

    S-K semi deeps?

Yeah I don’t mean “S-K semi deeps” I mean semi deep sockets length wise from S-K. So should I order deep or extra deep sorry I should’ve made it more clear.

    S-K semi deeps?

I have a few 3/8 drive S-K extra deep sockets and they measure shorter than my 3/8 drive snap on sockets of the same size. I’m looking to buy 1/2” drive S-K semi deeps. I call them semi deeps just because that’s what they’ll be for me but on the S-K website there semi deeps I’m assuming are...

    Williams Vs. S-K

At a local community college because there was no way I could pay for MMI. I looked at the course materials and they all had the same books. Met with my instructor and he has a bunch of marine experience so I’m being taught by a mechanic not a teacher and then finally I know I’ll learn more in...

    Williams Vs. S-K

Thank you for your response and great write up. I’m glad you brought that to my attention about the craftsman comparison. I agree snap on makes very great tools and I love their ratchets and as I would like to own every socket I need to be smart about this. I think I will go with S-K.

    Williams Vs. S-K

What about warranty? Where would you rank SK on a low tier mid tier and top tier scale with snap on being the top? What brand do you think would be a step above sk and a step below?

    Williams Vs. S-K

Looking like SK is filling Williams. I’m 100% snap on person like my dad and so on but my wallet isn’t. I’m looking to turn wrenches not collect tools so if SK makes a quality product like so many are saying I ought to try them out. I’ll save money going that route but the only things I’ve seen...

    Williams Vs. S-K

How does this sound? Get Williams 6 points and a set of SK 3/8” drive shallow and deep 12 points? And then get the grey pneumatic impacts?

    Williams Vs. S-K

Hello, I know this thread has been discussed before but most I’ve seen are 5 years old so I don’t know if things have changed. If you’ve seen my other thread you know I’m looking for sockets. I think I’ve narrowed it down to S-K or Williams. I’m talking USA Williams but just looking for opinions...

    Socket selection

Yeah I’m addicted to their ratchets mainly the locking flex heads. Their wrenches and crows feet as well I’m pro SO everything basically. But when it comes to sockets in looking for a quality USA made base set I can swap with snap on when I’m making money.
