No they were clearance at .03 at the store with 20+, as well as the stores where I was using the computers. I've been doing this for roughly 4 years so know that counts aren't always accurate but as of about 2 weeks ago the inventory systems are all screwed up around me. Not just the one store...

I monitor a lot of forums for deals, so I'm not sure why that matter? You're saying you never look at slick deals?

By congratulate, I really mean don't make it a big deal like "oh my god you found a penny item, where did you find that penny item? penny items aren't supposed to exist! call the store manager ASAP!"(And yes this was an actual experience) Instead just let them ring it up and be on their way...

Exactly my point. They're aren't out anything letting it slide. So really they should congratulate us for finding the penny items and let us pay and go. Wouldn't ever be an issue then. Wouldn't have people calling or throwing a fit in the stores, etc. In my opinion problem would be solved...
