No it didn't fix anything. One thing I did notice was the tube that comes out of the tank where you attach the regulator is extremely tiny. It's my guess that the tiny tube is the cause of the problems. I pretty much gave up on that compressor and will probably end up listing it for sale...
Thanks, I'm going to try bypassing that tonight.
*Edit - When I say bypassing it I don't mean disabling it that would create a bomb. I'm referring to hooking up an output for the tools off of a separate T before the air hits the pressure switch.
I recently picked up a used compressor. It's a harbor freight model 21 gallon 3hp 125PSI unit. I have noticed however when using it the regulated air pressure set at 100PSI drops about 40-50 PSI when I use an impact, air hammer ect. It's running through a 50 foot hose though my other...
I just got done fixing a compressor with the exact same problem this afternoon. I ended up having to fabricate three gaskets for the pump and that fixed it. When you take the head off my bet is you will see the gasket that seals between the intake and exhaust side has failed. A quick check...
I can give a third vote for the ARCAN Costco low profile. I have had it a short while now but am very pleased with it. As always use jack stands so you keep your shirt clear of blood.
I just bought the Arcon 3.5 and so far it's been great. The squeal is actually a known issue and if you call Arcon they will walk you through a fix. Probably won't take more then 10 minutes to do.
Hey Guys I was sitting at work today and an idea popped into my head. I know from reading on here to keep water out of your tools to use about 40 feet of copper or black iron pipe with drops ect ect ect.
My question is in an effort to keep water out of the air tank could you just hook the...
I use a lamp dimmer cord with a box fan all the time. I don't know if it would work in your situation or not. Basically the dimmer cord plugs into the wall and the fan plugs into the dimmer cord and you set the fan to high and control the fan speed with the dimmer slide control. Make sure you...
If it has a hole in the bottom for mounting you could get a pallet and bolt it to that or you could bungee it to the pallet. The key is to add weight and surface area in contact with the garage floor.
