These will primarily be used for our 2011 Camaro, but I do work on a couple friends Corvette's occasionally too. I've got cheapo Rhino Ramps for the pickup and trailblazer, but they're just too steep of an angle for these low to the ground cars.

I actually went and looked at...
I was beginning to wonder if such a thing existed, but HERE is what perfect 67" Race Ramps look like. The 3rd set arrived today, box had a couple minor scars on it but the ramps themselves don't have so much as a scratch. Darn glad I was patient and persistent. Now to pack up the other 7...
yeah, Thats it exactly. Its a purchase I've been tossing around for a couple of years, and then I finally decide to bite the bullet and order then and they arrive damaged/looking used, just kinda disappointing. 3rd set is out for delivery now, fingers crossed that I get good ones this...
Amazon also has a place to leave Packaging/Delivery feedback which I use often, both for exceptionally good and no so good packing jobs. For the most part, they pack stuff to survive an air drop, but in some cases you really gotta wonder what they were thinking. Had a case of diapers packed in...
no, I don't think so. Amazon wouldn't list them as new if they were seconds, they're not that kind of retailer.
And they're not plastic, they're high density foam wrapped in a rubberized material. It looks to me like the box was probably crushed or dropped on its end and the single layer of...
Perhaps if it seemed like everybody was getting them damaged, but in this thread and 2 others like it on other forums I've had numerous people tell me theirs arrived perfect. I really think I've just had some bad luck with the last couple shipments and its not the norm at all.
Toolboxes are...
No I didn't because I think the damage is more than cosmetic and could shorten the life of the ramps. I'd rather pay full price for ramps that will last years than half price for something that's going to crumble in a year or two. In this case I wasn't looking for cheap, I was looking for the...
I gotta say, I'm surprised by the number of folks saying they'd just live with them being damaged, especially considering the pricetag of these things.
Look at it this way, they have a scratch and dent section on their website where they sell show and demo ramps and probably some shipping...
I don't mind waiting, and with amazon its only a couple days for shipping,
The damage isn't cosmetic, the first set pictured here is cracked, what do you think that crack in the thinnest part of the ramp will do once I start putting 1000lbs on it repeatedly? The second set is missing a piece...
I havent actually gotten to use them yet, but my understanding is they'll take even spread out loads fine, but not sharp impact or puncture. A bit like how the tiles on the space shuttle can handle the loads of flight and reentry but jabbing them with a finger will render them useless.
They're not great pictures, but the damage is there, the black shiny texture kinda hides it. Why should i settle for damaged ramps when i paid for new ones? They occasionally have scratch and dent sales where they discount demo or damaged stuff, but thats not what i ordered here, these were...
We have a UPS center about a mile down the road so drop-offs are pretty convenient. Amazon will schedule a pickup also but never used that option since ups is so close
I haven't sent any of them back yet, good thing too since the second set was in worse shape than the first.
I really only...
yeah they sure are, I just sent the email about this a couple hours ago and I already have a tracking number for the 3rd set, no questions asked. Spectacular customer service, even when its not really their fault
Worst part is they show only 2 sets left in inventory though.
That's why I asked if I just had bad luck with these 2 shipments or if it was common for them to arrive damaged. The replies I'm getting seem to say I was just unlucky. I doubt the manufacturer expects them to arrive damaged, that seems ridiculous. I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon and...
How so? I've heard nothing but good stuff about the ramps and their manufacturer. Except the pricetag, people seem very happy with them. I haven't even found many reports of them arriving damaged which surprises me seeing how flimsy the boxes are, but most arrive in good shape apparently.
