Your price range is too low. I did mine for $2/sq ft and hit a bunch of sales. Maybe in epoxy you can get to $1.50 but you have associated costs in prep and application.

Call the manufacturers for the products you’re considering. And don’t be scared of the grinder, it’s not that bad. $120 for the maintainer at HD and you’re done in half a day. $1000-$1200 is a more realistic DIY budget for a floor that hopefully lasts 10+ years.
The rustoleum clear coat goes...
Is it pitted too or just dirty? You might need to do minor patching and/or full flake if you want to hide imperfections. Best value on flakes I’ve found is globmarble.com
Call rustoleum and press the button for concrete. Depends on floor condition, how many flakes etc. They are quick and knowledgeable and based in IL (not a foreign call center). They helped walk me through my floor.
This is going to be a long story but in short I went from a 50yr old terrible floor to a great epoxy floor (50+Mil) for under $2/sqft and a lot of work. 410 sq ft, tight 2 car garage.
Quest for product
I have always liked the epoxy floors and then went on a quest to find the best value for a...
Do full broadcast flakes too. My floor was like that (thread coming soon) and now it’s great. Every tiny imperfection will show if not covered in flakes. I used globmarble.com because their chips were super cheap. 25lbs plus 4lbs in my kit was just enough to cover 410sq ft. Find the kit/products...
I’ve read different websites that say to use exterior paint for interior walls and some that say never do this. I have a residential 2-car garage that is not used for anything other than parking and typical residential uses.
Right now there are two coats of primer up over a bunch of spackle...
One more post and they should be there. I’m hoping that all I need to do is grind and patch. Also it sounds like people prefer dry grind over wet. The guy at Home Depot said to use the hose attachment but then I read about the slurry.
My pictures won’t show until I have 5 posts. The concrete has a few cracks because they only put in one joint originally. Then it has taken IL winters for 50 years. It’s ugly but most of the cracks are narrow. There are also a lot of little pit marks and a couple big divits. I’m thinking I can...
I’m very glad I found this forum! Between this and YouTube I can’t tell if I know what I’m getting into or if I’m out of my league. My house is about 50 years old and the concrete is ugly to say the least. Hopefully it’s workable. My plan is:
410sqft
1. Degreaser
2. Home Depot Wet Grind
3...
