I know this is an old thread, but I found it useful to me. I also have the Clean Force 1400 that I purchased at Home Depot circa 2012. Instead of replacing the entire gun, you can use a Bosch quick connection. I've pasted an image below of the adapter I purchased for Amazon, but I'm not sure...
