Clearly you failed to read what I wrote, SK has admitted these are flaws, the idea that the end user is the last step in the QC process , will turn many to buy offshore tools for less. Spell check or not pal, will not fix SK socket QC issues will it? Talk about touchy, people have QC issues...

Older s-k , have seen diesel work, marine work, and now in the hotrod/bike shop, and after 30 years other than very light rust, clearly have worn very well in a salty invornment, no paint was needed. But no they are not all that dirty. Always keep tools clean w a light oil or boshield.

An older than me gent once said, buy cheep stuff to get started, replace what you break, bend or destroy with better stuff. Served me well. If you hang around this place, you will go broke, lol But have the best tools around at the best price point you can afford. I have learned a ton here.

I was watching a guy on you tube that tore one apart, the power supply has a circuit in it to protect the battery and motor I believe from overheating, been awhile ago I watched it, wonder if this has somyhing to do with it? Cools off, all is back to normal and working?
