I am hoping for the extra storage and was planning on storage trusses, but a scissor truss would give some height for sure. I didn't know what they were called, thanks!

I appreciate the input! I don't know if I have the space for a 32', but will talk about a wider garage with some other builders for sure. Also, I'm hoping to use a 4 post lift in the future. I don't plan on having a vehicle as long as a truck (I wish though).

Deep South, that's funny! Yeah, a 9' ceiling is much shorter than I'm hoping for. At the end of the day, I just need a 2 car garage. BUT, as I'm only spending the money once... it's easier to build it on the front end than modify on the back end.
