Build pictures of the new 30x40.....finally!

Thanks for the compliments. This shop has been the biggest sticking point in deciding to move. Ultimately being closer to work and family while providing a better education for my little ones trumped my dream shop. I don't know that I'll have the space to do this again where we plan to move to...

Build pictures of the new 30x40.....finally!

I'm happy with the size of the shop. It seems that wall space is the first thing you start to run out of, but I'm sure that's the case regardless of the size. If I had to do it again (and it looks like I will to a lesser extent) I would have a high ceiling only for the lift bay so as not to have...

So, here's the first update in forever. Got the place pretty much dialed in and now we're going to move closer to family. Gonna be hard to walk away from this place.

My Old garage pic's....and my new garage pics

Great stuff! So does the fella with the truck have some relationship to the Chrismans, or is it more of a tribute?

    Big *** Fans

I personally don't have one, but I've been wanting a couple of their smaller:rolleyes: 10 footers for my shop. I was at Goodguys in Columbus some years back and had a similar experience. We were walking through the swap meet in one of the large outbuildings and I looked up and said "holy s#!t...

Do you whip or not whip your air tools?

Right on. I've been using the same swivel on the air hose for years.

    She got me art!

I lucked out. My wife bought me a vintage Prestone porcelain thermometer for the shop. She still won't let me put the velvet Elvis painting back up over the throne in the bathroom though.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Cars, motos, gas & oil and such

Very cool. My wife and I have been here three years now and look forward to raising our two little ones in this environment. We're in the Door Village area to the southwest of town. One serious comment on your garage, with all the vintage petrol signage, globes and decor, I'm suprised at the...

How many have urinals in your caves

Or "dry dock". My good friends dad used to work out of a small garage with no facilities. Being the artist and forward thinker he is, he mounted a funnel to the wall with a tube leading outside and painted the wall surrounding the funnel to look like a urinal.

what's a day without a t8 thread?--cheap fixtures and tubes at home depot

You've got the same ones I do, but with the diffuser. I haven't tried them yet, but it sounds like I better fill up the I pod.

what's a day without a t8 thread?--cheap fixtures and tubes at home depot

mhm993, Thanks for researching this and posting your findings. I just picked up 10 of the 24 Lithonia 4 ft. 2 bulb T-8 fixtures from HD that I will be installing in my shop. They are labeled with GESB and are 26 bucks and change. The same light with the same ballast but having the reflector...
