moved into new shop - floor weeping oil slowly on hot days. Want to lay down vinyl

You'll have to keep cleaning till it stops weeping. It may do so in a year or it may never stop weeping. I can imagine over the course of 25 years several hundred gallons of ATF and gear oil probably soaked into that floor. Until then, like was mentioned, there is no point in putting any sort...

I dont lose (its not loose gdmit) any tools. How do people lose tools?

I've "lost" a few tools. I've never "loosed" one though. FWIW it's "lose" not "loose". "Johnny did you lose your 10mm? Yes Dad, now excuse me I need to post a question on Garage Journal asking why the casters on my toolbox are loose.":) Sorry for being a grammar Nazi. Certain things like that...

    Mystery tool, 1937

Well you said I took that as an inference to the Penal Colonies of the 19th Century. Wasn't trying to offend you, just that people often jumble the histories of NZ and Australia. Just how I took your post. Again wasn't trying to offend you.

    Mystery tool, 1937

Just to be clear New Zealand was never a Penal Colony. The Land of Oz was where all the crimmies were sent from Britain. And even the Aussie's weren't a penal Colony in 1937. :) That ended shortly after the US Civil War. Late 1860's IIRC.

Top-quality regulator and filter for my new Saylor-Beall air compressor?

FWIW aftercoolers and dryers are two different things.

Top-quality regulator and filter for my new Saylor-Beall air compressor?

Removing all water and vapor is most critical if painting or using a media blaster. For other tasks it's less critical.

Top-quality regulator and filter for my new Saylor-Beall air compressor?

Refrigerated dryers go after the tank. Some are high temp rated and can go just a few feet after of the tank, most are rated for a max inlet air temperature and need to be further down the line so that air temps cool to the rated inlet temp. If temps are higher it won't remove all the moisture...

Top-quality regulator and filter for my new Saylor-Beall air compressor?

Another thread with good info. http://www.spiuserforum.com/index.php?threads/shop-air-piping.11065/ For your filters if not using a refrigerated dryer, you want three in this order; water coalescer, oil coalescer, and dessicant dryer, and finally your regulator. If you aren't painting you can...

Top-quality regulator and filter for my new Saylor-Beall air compressor?

The most important thing is to setup your lines properly. You've got a top shelf air compressor but if you don't run your piping correctly you'll have water issue regardless of the filters you use. If you setup your piping correctly water will not be a real issue. If you are willing to...

'unicorn wrench' made by craftsman... but i KNOW it's real!

I don't though. No kidding. Always have been that way. Only on rare occasions do I need it. I'm no PigPen either, shower every day (sometimes 2X) just really haven't needed deodorant since my teens. And if I stunk over the years, the guys I worked with would have e been sure to let me know.:)...

Body guy here and I have pretty clean uncracked hands as well. Just naturally that way. Other guys hands will look like gnarled up catchers mitts, mine don't. Also don't have to wear deodorant most of the time......no lie. :)

Shop activities for the kids during the brutal cold of winter

A child's favorite wintertime activity will quickly become huddling around the Shop stove or space heater for warmth after shoveling the driveway and walkways of their home and Grandparents home on a Snow day from School. Lots of great memories await.

Add quick connect to air hammer

Upside to them and downsides. If you have cheap bits they mushroom slightly on the hammer end of the bit, so you then have to unscrew everything and either chamfer the bit or force it out. PITA. This is more of an issue if you have a good air hammer that hits hard. Lot of them don't. (which IMO...
