(Edit: Disregard, didn't realize they don't offer torx drivers in this series)
You may have already seen these but Vessel also makes acetate handle screwdrivers they call their "crystalline" series...
Just watched and the ratchet in the video referenced is a V-Series: the model number is CMMT86321V which is the 3/8" drive plain handle model: https://www.craftsman.com/products/cmmt86321v/v-series%E2%84%A2-3-8-in-drive-ratchet?srsltid=AfmBOopxlBlsbmfJXxqEhZMlQJ-KNLkm0clfYpqNkMlTc84kUPHldLsg

I really like these. IMO of the models in current production Proto is the best balance of price and quality but they only offer them in sae. They have Proto’s anti slip open ends which are nice.
For metric I have a Carlyle set I got in the classifieds here. They are still solid but their retail...
I think someone who wanted to do this would have to find an emerging industry in their area that doesn’t have established brand loyalty yet, or choose one where the most popular brand has gone downhill. For example someone mentioned DRPD. They sell tools that are useful across many trades but...
^^ I was just using the stubby version (a gift from @four.cycle !) yesterday. I really like it. The end cap rotates so you can hold the tool steady with your palm as you turn.
One hardware store near me still has a good supply of open stock USA Enderes bits. If you’re not able to find anywhere to order them I’d be happy to send you some.
Another local retailer who stocks Enderes told me last year: Enderes is still in business and making striking tools like punches...
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned here is inconsistent ratchet detent divots on the socket’s drive end. A lot of the USA brands seem(ed) to have trouble centering the tool that makes these, so one or more will end up really shallow. This can happen on any drive size but it matters the most in...
@Andres26tnt thanks for posting! Lot of good info there. Good to hear the mini head ratchets have been working so well for you! When I first read what you wrote I thought you were talking about the “Thin Profile” ratchets I got sent to test (mine was 1/4” drive CMMT86721) but it turns out they...
I see your location is Geneva NY, that tracks, i grew up 45 minutes from there and have vivid memories of always needing a cheater pipe to deal with the rust on my car
1/2" drive in 3/8" body ratchets seem more popular in Europe. I'm guessing it's because people there use the strategy of mainly owning 1/2" drive and 1/4" drive with less 3/8". I have one, a Hazet 916K. This is the older 30 tooth model. They also make one which is the same idea in their new 90...
One thing I’m curious about is people’s breakdown of how often they use standard length vs long handle 1/2” drive ratchets. I’ve noticed I use long handle a lot more and the people I work with are even more extreme, most of them don’t even own a standard length one. Are we in a bubble or is this...
I’m with you there. I have full sets from Lang Mayhew and Tekton and I’m glad to have them all. All three are reasonably priced and don’t really overlap in size/shape.
I have two pairs of Channellock/Lang (another rebrand of the same tool), one 6 inch and one 8 inch. They were all I used for years and between them they could handle all my ratchets. The 6” is better for 1/4” drive, 8” is better for 1/2” drive, 3/8” drive can kind of go either way.
That said...

The trick with proto is you need to use their online catalog instead of their website. The website is terrible but the catalog is searchable and actually pretty good. Here’s the page on wobble extensions:
