Anyone buy any Aircat tools lately?

I have a th-1000 and 3/8 ratchet, broke two 1/4" ratchets only because i used them for everything. snap on is much louder, slower, pricier. looks like Mac tools has their own name on some of the aircat tools, just a brighter color red plastic

    Snap-On tool storage trade-in - Downsizing!(?)

yeah the more I think about it, the more I just want to build a hutch for my 78 and fill it up with much higher quality tools. Might sell the Craftsman boxes I have since they are high up in the drawer count, just too small for my liking. I don't see anything on the sears or craftsman site...

    OLD HYDRAULICS! what to do???!

use it like an electric port-o-power. weld up a cart with the pump and battery and switch box, and use the rams with a hefty return spring welded on, and fab some monster C clamps to use the rams. I will be doing that for my impala frame wrap here sometime soon. bends the metal and holds it...

    My Fathers Craftsman Tool box

A spray bottle blasting with distilled white vinegar will disrupt the bond that is still holding the rust onto the metal. from there,it will keep the distressed paint's patina but not overly cleanse it. I would clear coat it after a rinse and dry, preserve the look and keep the damage from...

    Soldering station, what's your opinion?

Hakko products are a big staple in the r/c world, although I use a Triton JLA (now called the PTH, push-to-heat) at work and its very quick. it uses carbon jaws clamped together to generate heat, you will have wire up to 4ga hot in seconds. lessens the heat transfer to the other parts so you get...

    Snap-On tool storage trade-in - Downsizing!(?)

I get the gist of it... its where you aren't in more than one box to grab tools for a specific type of job. When I first started doing bodywork, apprenticing and shop cleaning, I had a Glo-Mad SO roll cart for my R&R tools, then expanded with the SST cart that I have still, for all of my...

its just my home garage. roomy @ 42x20 but I have been painting, adding lighting slowly, and trying to brighten the space up. can't stand working in a dark and disheveled garage space. I am the kind of guy that could take 50,000 sq. ft and be working in a clusterf*cked space with an inch of...
