Vocational machine shop course all through high school. Worked in a couple of shops while still in school, didn't finish my apprenticeship, went into Marine Corps 66-70. Went to work in a steel mill after service as a millwright about 12 years. Moved on to an oil refinery as a millwright/outside machinist, 24 years with tools, 3 as a technical specialist. Basically forced to retire in 09...**** happens, no regrets. Over these years worked as a millwright/machinist/hydraulics repair specialist for different companies in my area when things got slow at the steel mill. Built decks and general carpentry on the side also.
