Brass would not be a great choice for this if it is providing potable water. I would choose an NSF approved (food/potable water safe) material for this if it is a water line for water used to drink or cook with.

@BobsYourUncle69 , thanks for posting this it is a great deal. I am in for a couple of each. I would venture there is at least 50/50 chance that it is legit. In Germany and the EU the Gedore tools are much less expensive than they are sold for here in the USA.

There are other options that may make sense depending on the # of parts you need and the required material properties and the cost constraints. If you can elaborate on the nature of the parts and the required material properties then I could reply with some alternative manufacturing processes...

IME this rework would require hot air solder/desolder and a microscope. We had a few "super techs" that took care of this in R&D. None of the Engineers in the R&D group were any good at this, we gladly paid the techs OT to do it for us. We were using 10x20 SMT parts back in the 90s and shipping...
